Apparently I'm working to make my LJ more like my conversations and jump hither and yon with my topics.

I know that this will disappoint the delightful clytemenstra, but I loved Batman Begins. While I still like Batman Returns enormously, this movie felt like a real Batman movie - true to the core of Batman. Angsty without going into ridiculousness. Excellent creation of a Gotham both realistic and fantastic. Plus it made Batman a cool badass once again. Loved, loved, loved, loved it. My only complaint is one I have with a lot of American directors - pull the goddamned camera OUT when filming fight scenes. Watch Hero as a fine example on how to film a fight and move the camera in and out to provide the coolest visual experience. Hell, watch virtually any Kung Fu movie to learn how it's done.

After my bad mom freakout yesterday I talked to the glorious neowiccan for a while then hid out in the bathtub. I came out to see that my little ones had cleaned and vacuumed the living room. I have, therefore, decided to keep them.

My mom is not feeling well and I have the feeling that a trip to the hospital is inevitable. She says she's "fine" but we're at that hospital time of the year and I worry that she's trying to be stoic. I wish she wouldn't. Her stoicism and my ignorance have damn near killed her in the past.

I am, once again, behind on LJs. Reading, wanting to comment, not having the time (though I have the time to talk on here about MEEEEE), so going to grab some time tomorrow and indulge and read slowly and savor. I have decided that I have the greatest FL ever. Always something to think about, always something that makes me giggle, always something to make me feel glad to know these folks on the list. (And no, neowiccan and queen_xi, I have not been drinking.)
